The U.S. Space Force launched its first small rocket flight of 2021 this month in a science experiment that dumped a little bit of water vapor into the Earth’s higher environment.

A 3-stage Terrier-Terrier-Oriole suborbital rocket launched from NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility on Wallops Island, Virginia on the afternoon of March three. No precise time was offered in press supplies from NASA or the House Power.

The rocket was finding out the method of ionization — the method by which a molecule good points or loses electrons, which carry electrical cost. It flew to Earth’s ionosphere, a zone of Earth’s environment filled with electrically charged particles.
