The reverberations from the epic landing of NASA’s Perseverance rover on Mars will prolong far past the science and spaceflight communities, President Joe Biden mentioned.

The commander-in-chief held a video name on Thursday (March four) with scientists and engineers at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Southern California, which manages Perseverance’s $2.7 billion mission. Through the 10-minute chat, Biden congratulated and thanked the staff for acing the Feb. 18 landing, stressing that it got here at a vital time for the nation.
