The Lunar Planetary Institute’s (LPI) has launched the Lunar South Pole Atlas – a brand new on-line reference for mission planners.

NASA has been directed to land astronauts on the lunar south pole by 2024, an goal with a five-year timeline.

Velocity, security, and effectivity are key priorities driving this implementation of House Coverage Directive-1, which is to have people on the Moon for “long-term exploration and utilization.”

To help NASA and the lunar group, LPI, below the Universities House Analysis Affiliation (USRA), has compiled a web-based atlas that consists of a sequence of maps, photographs, and illustrations of the south polar area.
