Cliffs of Crumbling, Layered Sediments On Mars

Huge deposits of sediments wealthy in hydrated sulfates are present in central Valles Marineris. Such deposits on Earth are comfortable and simply eroded, and that seems to be true on Mars as effectively.

There are giant gullies and sediment followers alongside the steepest slopes.
