The mission
Cheops is ESA’s CHaracterising ExOPlanet Satellite. It’s the first mission devoted to learning vivid, close by stars which are already recognized to host exoplanets, with the intention to make high-precision observations of the planet’s dimension because it passes in entrance of its host star. It’s going to give attention to planets within the super-Earth to Neptune dimension vary, with its knowledge enabling the majority density of the planets to be derived – a first-step characterisation in the direction of understanding these alien worlds.
