Have You Played? is an infinite stream of sport retrospectives. One a day, on daily basis, maybe all the time.
I’m a fan of top-down wizards. It’s a perspective that makes plans as necessary as response speeds, the place each spell and step is clearly seen to everybody. Battling in Battlerite isn’t about who will get the bounce on who, it’s about who can bait out a bounce and counter it with their very own wizard nonsense.
It’s all so psychological. Matches begin with you tiptoeing round your two to a few opponents, feeling out their actions. Figuring out weak point. Possibly it’s that little lady who can be a sea sage, who retains summoning defensive bubbles when she ought to be therapeutic her group. Possibly it’s the over-aggressive frog murderer. Or the charging, tiny-headed troll.
The final wizard standing may not be the quickest, nor the one with the perfect goal. They’ll be the one who fights their method into their opponents minds, who is aware of when to dodge and when to counter, who dances round cooldowns and expectations. They’ll be the one who will get to bask within the limelight on the finish of every spherical, realizing that each different participant has simply seen how intelligent they’re.
It’s not the healthiest form of validation, however it does really feel excellent.
